Maybe you keep finding yourself in unfulfilling relationships and you wonder if you’ll ever find someone who really loves you and appreciates you and makes you a priority. Believe me, I know how you feel. I’ve had my heart dragged around more times than I care to admit.
Maybe you’re feeling lost or hopeless and getting out of bed in the morning seems like a pointless activity. Yep, been there, too.
Or, maybe you’re just wondering what the hell this life coaching shit is all about. Totally understandable.
I guess what I’m trying to say is: no matter what brought you here, I’m glad you came. And, I’d love to help. So, let’s dive in, shall we?
For what it’s worth, I’m not a fan of the term “life coach.” Whenever I hear it, I cringe a little. It makes me feel like I should be wearing a sweater vest and holding a megaphone covered in stickers. But, the fact is, I really do love helping people. And, at this point, I’ve helped a whole lot of people shift their thinking, overcome heartbreak, improve their relationships, gain more confidence, discover their passions, start their own businesses, optimize their lives, and unfuck themselves.

Why the hell would I work with you and what are your credentials?
I’m glad you asked. And, if you’re looking for someone to light a few scented candles, tell you that everything’s groovy, and help you find your spirit animal, you probably shouldn’t work with me. On the other hand, if you’re ready to get serious about making some changes in your life, then let’s chat.
I am formally trained in Strategic Intervention, which pulls from a variety of disciplines, including: Ericksonian therapy, strategic family therapy, human needs psychology, organizational psychology, neurolinguistics, psychology of influence and strategic studies. The term “Strategic Intervention” was coined by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes to describe their highly effective change work.
I am certified in the Psychology of Happiness from the Happiness Studies Academy, which was created by Dr. Tal Ben Shahar, one of the world’s foremost experts on happiness and the creator of the most popular class at Harvard University.
Additionally, I am a certified No More Mr. Nice Guy coach, having worked closely with Dr. Robert Glover, the author of No More Mr. Nice Guy. Dr. Glover’s book was a stick upside the head, and completely opened my eyes as to why I – and so many others – have struggled in life and relationships. I am proud to call Dr. Glover a close friend and the greatest mentor in my life.
I care a great deal about everyone who chooses to work with me. I’m not here to bullshit you. I’m here to make sure that you get out of your rut and create the life you deserve.
How is coaching different than therapy?
Technically speaking, psychotherapy is a long-term process during which a client works with a healthcare professional to resolve problematic beliefs and behaviors. Therapists typically focus on past traumas in order to help you work through painful emotions. In life coaching, a client works with a coach to clarify goals and identify problematic behaviors in order to create an action plan for success. In a nutshell, therapists focus on the past and the why, while coaches focus on the now and the how.
I would never discourage anyone from seeking therapy, if they need it. But, in my experience, most therapists and psychiatrists will listen to you, maybe write you a prescription, and keep you living in the past. They don’t support your greatness, hold you accountable, or challenge you to become the best version of yourself. They’ll allow you to get away with your bullshit, over and over again. The best coaches, however, will spot your bullshit before you even open your mouth, and force you to confront it.
How exactly does coaching work? Do you have an office or something?
Coaching is typically done over the phone or via Zoom or Skype because it allows for greater efficiency, convenience, and confidentiality. Additionally, it’s been shown that coaching can be more effective when clients have the freedom to express themselves in the privacy of their own space.
My clients live all over world. That said, I find that face-to-face coaching is just as helpful, and can actually be a lot of fun.
