Life Coaching

Unf*ck yourself.

So, I HAVE A HUNCH…

And please forgive me for being presumptuous. But if you’ve found your way here, it’s probably because something in your life isn’t going the way you’d like.

Am I right?

Maybe you’ve been working at a job you despise and your boss is a total dick and sitting in a cubicle makes you want to stick your head in the office microwave. Trust me, I’ve been there. Many times.

Maybe you keep finding yourself in unfulfilling relationships and you wonder if you’ll ever find someone who really loves you and appreciates you and makes you a priority. Believe me, I know how you feel. I’ve had my heart dragged around more times than I care to admit.

Maybe you’re feeling lost or hopeless and getting out of bed in the morning seems like a pointless activity. Yep, been there, too.

Or maybe you’re just wondering what the hell this life coaching shit is all about. Totally understandable.

No matter what brought you here, I’m glad you came. And I’d love to help. So, let’s dive in, shall we?

Think You’re F*cked?

Feel like there’s no reason to have a sunny outlook? I can definitely relate. We can talk. If you want. Whatever. No big whoop.

A 200% RELATIONSHIP

For the record, I am not a fan of the term life coach. It’s excruciatingly cheesy. Whenever I hear it, I cringe a little. But working with a coach really did change my life. I believe it can change yours, too.

I very much love helping people. I’m proud to say that I’ve helped a lot of people shift their thinking, overcome their self-limiting beliefs, gain more confidence, face their fears, discover their passions, improve their relationships, start their own businesses, optimize their lives, and unf*ck themselves.

I like to call this a 200% relationship. Should you decide to work with me, I will bring 100%. But you also have to bring 100%. Especially if you want your life to change. See, we’re in this together. And together, we’ll tackle things like:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Why the hell would I work with you and what are your credentials?

I’m glad you asked. I’m not one of those airy-fairy, woo-woo, manifestation coaches you’ve probably seen on social media. If you’re looking for someone to light a few scented candles, tell you that everything’s groovy, and help you find your spirit animal, you probably shouldn’t work with me. On the other hand, if you’re ready to get really f*cking serious about making some changes in your life, let’s chat.

I am a certified life coach formally trained in Strategic Intervention, which pulls from a variety of disciplines, including: Ericksonian therapy, strategic family therapy, human needs psychology, organizational psychology, neurolinguistics, psychology of influence and strategic studies. The term “Strategic Intervention” was coined by Tony Robbins and Cloe Madanes to describe their highly effective change work.

I am certified in the Psychology of Happiness from the Happiness Studies Academy, which was created by Dr. Tal Ben Shahar, one of the world’s foremost experts on happiness and the creator of the most popular class at Harvard University.

I am a certified meditation trainer.

I am a certified No More Mr. Nice Guy coach, having worked closely with Dr. Robert Glover, the author of No More Mr. Nice Guy and the creator of Total Personal Integration (TPI) University. Dr. Glover played an integral role in my own personal transformation, and I am proud to call him a mentor and a close friend.

I am constantly evolving as both a human and a coach. I have made a lifelong commitment to personal growth. This is how I can best serve my clients.

I care a great deal about everyone who chooses to work with me. I’m not here to bullshit you. I’m here to hold you accountable. I’m here to help you dig for the truth. I’m here to make sure that you get out of your goddamn rut and create the life you deserve. And trust me: If I can do it, you can do it.

How is life coaching different than therapy?

Technically speaking, psychotherapy is a long-term process during which a client works with a healthcare or medical professional to resolve problematic beliefs and behaviors. Therapists typically focus on past traumas in order to help you work through painful emotions.

In life coaching, a client typically works with a coach to clarify goals and identify problematic behaviors in order to create an action plan for success.

In a nutshell, therapists focus on the past and the why, while coaches focus on the now and the how.

I would never discourage anyone from seeking therapy, if they need it. I’ve seen many therapists over the years. Based on my experience, however, it seems that most therapists and psychiatrists will listen to you, write you a prescription for a pill, and keep you living in the past. They don’t support your greatness, hold you accountable, or challenge you to become the best version of yourself. Many will allow you to get away with your bullshit, over and over again. The best coaches, however, will spot your bullshit before you even open your mouth, and force you to confront it.

How exactly does life coaching work? Do you have an office or something?

Coaching is typically done over the phone or via Zoom because it allows for greater efficiency, convenience, and confidentiality. It’s also been shown that life coaching can be more effective when clients have the freedom to express themselves in the privacy of their own space. Plus, I just don’t want an office.

My clients live all over world. That said, I do find that face-to-face coaching can be a lot of fun. If you live in the New Orleans area and you’d like to meet with me in person, just email me and let me know that you’re here in the Big Easy. If nothing else, we can grab a Sazerac.

Will life coaching help me?

If coaching helped me, it can help damn near anybody. And that includes you. You just need to be willing to make a change, and then wholeheartedly commit to doing the work.

I’d love to work with you. How do I get the ball rolling?

Congratulations on making this decision. There’s no better time than now to start making real changes in your life. To get the ball rolling, just schedule an introductory call.
