Blogging & Business Coaching
Live life on your own damn terms.
I just couldn’t do it anymore…
I’d been working in advertising for 15 years. Sitting in a cubicle. Staring mindlessly at a computer. Building someone else’s dream instead of my own.
I just couldn’t do it anymore.
I was miserable, to be sure. For 15 years. Being told when to wake up, what to wear, where to sit, what to do, when to eat lunch, when to go home, how much money I could make, how much vacation I could take.
I wasn’t being challenged. Nobody seemed to care about my talents. My ideas were never welcomed.
I just couldn’t do it anymore.
But there was so much I wanted to do. So much I wanted to try. So many things I wanted – and still want – to accomplish. And I wasn’t getting any younger.
So, at the ripe old age of 37, I quit.
I quit the 9-to-5. I quit the paycheck, the 401k, the health insurance, the paid vacation days. I quit my boss. I quit my cubicle. I quit all of it, and began a quest to find what I’d always wanted: Freedom.
It was the scariest f*cking decision I’ve ever made. It was also the best.
THAT DAMN TIM FERRISS
Somewhere around 2007, I read a book called The 4-Hour Workweek. The full title of the book is The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich. Maybe you read it, too. After all, it spent four years on the New York Times Bestseller List and sold millions of copies.
The book was written by Tim Ferriss. Now, Tim Ferriss is basically a household name. But somewhere around 2007, nobody knew who the hell he was. That is, until The 4-Hour Workweek came out. In the book, he shares his formula for lifestyle design and for using the internet to do just what the book’s subtitle suggests – Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich.
That damn Tim Ferriss.
He made it sound so easy: Find a muse. Outsource the work. Make a shitload of money. Go lie on a beach somewhere.
No disrespect to Tim: The man is brilliant. But building a lifestyle business that allows you to escape the 9-to-5…well…it’s not as easy as Tim made it sound.
But it’s entirely possible.
It took me about 9 years of daydreaming and another 3 years of experimenting with side hustles, but I now make a full-time living as a coach, a content and course creator, and a blogger – or what some might call an “online entrepreneur.” Yes, I’m one of those digital nomad types. It requires a lot of work. It’s unsettling at times. But it’s also pretty f*cking awesome.
What about you? Have you been daydreaming about building your own coaching business? Creating an online course? Starting a blog? Let’s spitball. Schedule an introductory call with me.
NO GURU, NO GUARANTEE
If you’ve spent any amount of time online, then you’ve probably noticed that there are a lot of so-called gurus out there who promise they can show you the path to freedom and prosperity.
You’ve probably seen their ads.
They’re standing in front of their Lamborghinis, proclaiming that you too can achieve your dreams and make an absurd amount of money, as long as you watch their webinar and learn their easy-to-follow process. It’s guaranteed!
They are f*cking lying to you.
They are also trying to sell you something, and there’s a good chance it’s crap.
I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on coaches and courses, and most of the time I felt scammed. But I’ve also learned from some really incredible people who act with the utmost integrity. It’s learning from these people – the right people – along with my 15+ years of marketing experience that has allowed me to carve out a nice little business for myself.
I am not some kind of guru. And I can’t guarantee your success (nobody can). But here is what I can do: I can help you figure out what’s been holding you back from building the business – and the life – you’ve always wanted. I can help you get your online business up and running. I can show you everything I’ve learned that has helped me start and grow my own business. And I can be there to support you, encourage you, and guide you every step of the way.
I can also help you do the following:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What if I don’t even have an idea?
What are you interested in? What are you passionate about? What skills do you have? What do other people tell you you’re good at? Do other people come to you for advice on certain subjects? Whose careers do you envy?
Answer those questions and see if that doesn’t get your juices flowing.
Who am I to teach or coach others? I’m not an expert in anything.
You don’t need to be an expert. You just need to know more than the people you’re teaching.
I wouldn’t even know where to start. Do I need a website? Do I need social media? Do I need something else? What’s SEO? What’s a squeeze page? What’s an evergreen funnel? All these tools, all this terminology…f*ck man…it’s all so overwhelming.
This is why it’s important to work with a great business coach, whether it’s me or someone else. When you first learn all the moving parts of a successful online business – it’s ridiculously overwhelming. Especially if it’s all new to you. There’s a lot to wrap your head around. A great coach will create an action plan for you to follow. A great coach will guide you. A great coach will help you zoom in and focus on one task at a time so you don’t feel so overwhelmed.
Isn’t it expensive to start a business?
A brick-and-mortar business, yes. An online business, no. It’s $12 for a domain name. And $15 or less per month for quality hosting. That’s really all you need to get started.
I’d love to start my own online business. I dream about it. But it’s really scary. How do I overcome this fear that I have?
What’s scares you more? The thought of going after something you really want? Or…the thought of staying stuck where you are for the rest of your life?
You’re my guru, Tony. I want to work with you. How can I make that happen?
Thank you. But like I said, I’m no guru. I can probably help you, though. Let’s start with a conversation to see if we vibe. Just schedule an introductory call.
